Bike Race Challenge

Could you be the next Mark Cavendish? Can you beat our fitness experts? Join Body Shack Fitness Centre experts in our exhibition gallery at the Manx Museum on Saturday 28th January as they put you through your paces on the exhibition Wattbikes. Take up the challenge with this FREE drop in session. Whether you’re hotly competitive or a more relaxed rider, join in the fun anytime between 11am to 1pm and 2pm to 4pm.

The Wattbike was created with British Cycling to provide an affordable indoor bike for training and testing that is suitable for everyone from school children to Olympic Gold Medallists. Within seconds you can be accurately measuring your power output, your pedalling technique and heart rate.

Each bike is linked to a computer and riders can race against one another, with their progress and current performance data displayed on a screen. A range of track and road racing events can be replicated effectively making Wattbike racing excellent for teaching, training and just for fun. Multiple race types are available - team sprint, points, devil, win and out, handicap, time trial and Course des Primes.

Tickets are also on sale now for the next event in our Sporty Saturday series, ‘Ultimate Sports Science’ on Saturday 18th February.
