Dear Friend,
I am pleased to be sending you the latest FMNH events list which will take us through to October. I have also attached a letter from the MNH Director, Edmund Southworth. Please click on the right hand side of the page.
We have a variety of interesting and exclusive events for the summer season. For example, we have been lucky enough to have the opportunity of inviting the National Conservation Project Manager from English Heritage to talk to us about a huge restoration project at Apethorpe Hall in Northamptonshire.
We are also thrilled to be able to offer the opportunity for you to attend a summer concert with the Band of HM Royal Marines Scotland, at Castle Rushen High School on the 2nd July. This is in association with the Arbory Church window Quilliam fund. If you missed the last two concerts we were involved with, don’t miss this one! They are amazing. Tickets will be available from Thompson Travel Port Erin, Celtic Gold Peel, Peter Norris Douglas and Shakti Man in Ramsey. Tickets are limited so don’t delay.
In my last letter the Farm Manager at Cregneash had asked if any members would be interested in ‘home grown’ Loughtan lamb for the freezer. This didn’t happen as the weather has been so poor but he is hoping to have some ready at the end of the summer. If anyone else is interested do let me know and I will contact you when they are ready.
May I take this opportunity of also thanking all our wonderful volunteers who have helped us last year. We seem to have been busier than ever.
Don’t forget you can now renew your membership via paypal on our website www.friendsofmnh.org, at any of the MNH sites, at any IOM Post Office.
I look forward to seeing you at the many events over the summer.
With best wishes
Nicola
