Come and hone your drawing skills and immerse yourself in the Natural History collection at the Manx Museum with Biosphere Artist in Residence, Ali Hodgson.
Bring your sketchbook and favourite pens and pencils (or iPad), and join us for a playful afternoon of exploration as we make our way around the collection and discover our Island’s unique flora and fauna through the medium of drawing. You will be guided through a series of creative exercises suitable for all levels of artistic ability, and discover all kinds of interesting things about our Manx nature and habitats at the same time!
Please note this workshop is for over 18s only and participants will mostly be standing up and sketching on-site in the museum. The exercises will be suitable for all levels of drawing ability – all you need is a sketchbook, some basic drawing materials and a willingness to give it a go!
This workshop is in collaboration with Manx Wildlife Trust and Manx National Heritage. All proceeds from ticket sales will go towards both of these charities to help them continue the important work they do.
Please meet at 1:00pm sharp at the museum’s reception where Ali will be waiting to greet you.
Spaces are limited so booking is essential.
For any questions, please contact Ali at ali@mwt.im
